Description

Electro-Voice HM2

The Electro-Voice HM2 headworn microphone is the idealmicrophone for anyone who requires high-quality vocals in ahands-free application. The HM2 is perfect for use by leadvocalists, singing instrumentalists, dancers, aerobic instructorsand other presenters.

The HM2 has a miniature electret condenser element designedwith a cardioid polar pattern, which attenuates background noisessuch as sound from nearby floor monitors, on-stage musicalinstruments and crowd noise. The furnished open-porewindscreen slips over the microphone element to reduce windnoise and minimize P-popping – the excessive explosive breathnoise caused by overemphasized "p" and "t" sounds.

The Electro-Voice HM2 headworn microphone employs acomfortable and inconspicuous behind-the-head headband andflexible boom arm in an attractive Nonreflective black matte finish. The flexible boom, which descends from the right of the headband,is enclosed with protective shrink tubing to shield the boom armfrom deterioration and to prevent the flexible tube from catchingon facial hair. The facial features of the performer or speaker willnot be obstructed due to the HM2’s unobtrusive design. Theheadband and microphone boom adjust to fit any performer orspeaker.

The HM2 is designed to have a frequency response similar to ahandheld vocal microphone. The HM2 headset exhibits bassboost(proximity-effect) warmth that many vocalists prefer. Theamount of proximity effect can be adjusted by moving themicrophone element closer or farther away from the mouth. The HM2 is permanently connected to a 1.2-m (4 ft) shieldedcable terminated with a miniature Switchcraft TA3F connector.
