Electro-Voice

Electro-Voice has been a leader in the sound reinforcement industry for nearly a century, designing and engineering products that empower the performer, exceed all expectations of the audio professional, and elevate the experience of the audience. EV shares the passion for uncompromised sound quality with their users by building upon generations of hands-on professional knowledge, producing a rich portfolio of best-in-class speakers and microphones that combine performance, reliability, and value. The challenge that drives EV forward as leaders in the industry that they helped create is to deliver on their deep understanding of what makes good sound. Electro-Voice covers all aspects of pro audio within its broad range of products, providing the ability to precisely meet the specifications of any given project, large or small.

Dedicated to developing products that more than exceed the expectations of seasoned performers, production professionals, and all types of audiences, Electro-Voice loudspeakers are designed, engineered, and tested for ultimate reliability. Speaker enclosures are tested to levels that far exceed required industry safety standards. Electro-Voice has maintained a high level of respect within the industry and around the world by being one of the few companies to design all components in-house — enclosures, waveguides, drivers — creating a strict standard for excellent quality in every audio application, from a standalone loudspeaker to a networked sound system. EV strives for complete transparency and linearity in its transducers, minimizing the need for external processing. A long history of respected patents proves that Electro-Voice invents while others imitate. EV is devoted to the art and science of audio, always focused on developing new, innovative ways to create an unmatched sensory experience.

Electro-Voice PREVIEW offers system designers a software tool to configure its best-in-class line arrays for an optimized, even coverage experience. Designers can quickly find the optimum loudspeaker configuration with the full-color 3D interface. The software was built with a special feature that ensures only mechanically safe combinations of loudspeakers and rigging hardware are designed.

Solotech’s best selling EV products, and the best selling portable PA speakers in the world, are a part of the ZLX line. Available in both 12 inch and 15 inch powered and passive versions, ZLX brings premium professional audio equipment to the masses, making it easy to own and experience unprecedented quality. They boast a rare combination of streamlined industrial design, compact size, user-friendly operation, and supreme power, making them a smart choice for monitors and mains in DJ/musician applications.

Another very popular option is the EVOLVE 50 Portable Column System, a three component loudspeaker system driven by Electro-Voice's QuickSmartDSP and powered by a 1000 Watt Class-D amplifier. This bold system proudly offers a 15 millimeter wooden, ported, powered subwoofer enclosure that contains a 12 inch subwoofer capable of a functional frequency output down to 37 Hz. The bi-directional aluminum pole’s connection to the subwoofer is safely secured with a magnet, and the column array is gravity-held to the sub pole. The signal is internally routed to the components. EV’s EVOLVE 50 processing engine simple setup is easily accomplished via four presets (Music, Live, Speech, and Club), three-band EQ, five user-programmable presets (Store and Recall settings), output delay, phantom power (+15V), visual monitoring of limiter status, input level control and meters, and master volume control to provide optimal gain structure.
