Heat sinks are built into the driver's cast aluminum frame, and the neodymium magnets are located inside the driver's dual voice coil assembly, completing the magnetic circuit but avoiding the heavy surrounding steel structure of conventional drivers. While dramatically cutting down on driver weight, every critical performance parameter is greatly enhanced: frequency response, power output and distortion. The sound quality that is created by this game-changing design is extremely transparent, even when being pushed to very high SPL.
