Yamaha's compact and affordable BR10 speaker handles 250 watts of power (500 watt peak @ 8 ohms), yet is still compact and easy to handle. The BR series speakers were developed and are produced in the USA to carry on the proven audio quality and reliability of Yamaha's acclaimed Concert Club series. Using parts and components carefully selected for audio quality and reliability, Yamaha has optimized critical design parameters to achieve astounding sound at a very affordable price. In particular, the excellent low-frequency response produced by the bass-reflex system and the broad 90° x 40° high-frequency coverage provided by the titanium-dome horn tweeter are the result of painstaking tuning that achieves an outstanding balance between portability and size.
The TS-80's offset tripod base design provides more support than typical "off-the-shelf" speaker stands. The design makes for very tight internal fittings, doing away with unnecessary sloppy leg problems, and includes a super strong die-cast metal collar that prevents over-tightening and breakage issues associated with all plastic designs.
