The Shure QLXD2/N8S is a digital handheld wireless microphone transmitter compatible with QLX-D receivers. It comes equipped with a Nexadyne 8/S dynamic supercardioid capsule, featuring an innovative Revonic dual-transducer design that uses two separate, but interdependent sets of diaphragms, voice coils, and magnets. This unique technology provides condenser-like clarity with a crisp yet natural high-end and detailed sound—allowing vocalists to focus on delivering powerful performances without worrying about mic technique. The supercardioid polar pattern offers tight directionality, high gain before feedback, and excellent rejection of off-axis sound.

This version of the QLXD2/N8S operates in the V50: 174 to 216 MHz band of the UHF spectrum, providing a wide 42 MHz tuning range with 1680 selectable frequencies to ensure a clear transmission channel. It operates for up to 9 hours on two AA batteries, with a transmission range of up to 330 feet and a selectable 1/10mW RF power output.
