The black Shure MX405 Shock-Mounted Gooseneck Microphone is a flexible speech microphone designed for applications in meeting rooms, lecture halls, houses of worship, and any setting where a high-quality speech microphone is required. It features a 5" adjustable gooseneck for optimal positioning and an interchangeable capsule design, allowing users to choose between cardioid, supercardioid, omnidirectional, or mini-shotgun capsules.

The microphone offers a wide dynamic range and smooth frequency response from 50 Hz to 17 kHz, ensuring clear and intelligible reproduction of speech. This version is equipped with a supercardioid pick-up pattern that focuses audio capture tightly on the subject in front of the mic, substantially reducing background sound and feedback. It is configured without a preamplifier and includes a red LED status ring near the top of the mic. Shure's CommShield technology minimizes RF problems from mobile devices, Wi-Fi, and TV/radio signals, providing clean, interference-free audio. Wireless component options (available separately) enable compatibility with select Shure wireless systems.
