Focusrite RedNet HD32R 32x32 Dante Network Audio Interface with Dual Power Supplies
RedNet HD32R is a 1U, 19-inch rack-mount Dante interface that enables Pro Tools|HD users to access the extensive benefits of Dante digital audio networking, including its flexible network topology and high-quality audio interfaces. The Pro Tools system connects to the HD32R through standard Mini DigiLink ports.
The unit includes dual Ethernet ports with locking etherCON connectors, supporting multiple operating modes such as daisy-chaining and redundancy, with front-panel indicators confirming connection status. Two independent power supplies with fault detection capability and separate input sockets (with retaining clips) are provided on the rear panel, with power state indicators on both the front panel and remotely. The HD32R features a robust, roadworthy exterior, high-quality internal components, and a compact 1U rack-mount design to deliver 32 channels of I/O.
Functioning as a 64-channel (32 in/32 out) digital break-in/out box, the HD32R operates as a standard interface compatible with a wide range of Pro Tools|HDX and HD cards. It supports Pro Tools systems including Pro Tools|HDX, Pro Tools|HD Native, Pro Tools|HD Native Thunderbolt, and Pro Tools|HD TDM. A Pro Tools|HDX system can connect with up to six HD32R modules, and Pro Tools|HD can use up to three, maximizing channel count for both setups. The HD32R connects to Pro Tools|HD via standard Mini DigiLink connectors.
By leveraging the low latency performance of Pro Tools|HD cards, HD32R integrates the full Dante audio-over-IP capabilities of the RedNet product line into a Pro Tools|HD system, all via Ethernet. This setup allows the entire range of Dante-compatible products, including RedNet’s premium analog and digital interfaces, to work seamlessly with a Pro Tools|HD setup.
Whether in complex multi-room systems or single installations, Dante and RedNet enable the creation of a sophisticated, high-quality audio production environment through a standard Ethernet network. The HD32R bridges the gap to any Pro Tools|HD system, allowing any available Dante source or destination to appear in Pro Tools just like any other compatible interface, preserving the traditional Pro Tools workflow.
