The Vi400/600 Control Module is a direct replacement for the Vi4/6 ‘silver box’ Control Module, offering a faster processor and more reliable performance. It includes hard-soldered DisplayLink-based graphics outputs, replacing the original system's PCI graphics card. Running a variant of V6.x software, this module has a cut-down feature set that suits the capabilities of the Vi2/4/6 surface and Local Rack. This upgrade is ideal for revitalizing an existing surface, allowing it to serve as an emergency backup when a full Vi5/7000 upgrade is purchased.
