ETC was born out of a lofty goal set by a college student in 1975. Fred Foster told his college professor that he was going to make a lighting console and sell it to the Metropolitan Opera House (the Met). A year later, Fred, along with friends, reveled the Mega Cue – the lighting console that started the ball rolling for one of today’s most respected lighting manufacturers.

2020 was the year that ETC celebrated its 45th anniversary and in looking back, there is no denying that the company has evolved greatly to become a global leader in the manufacturing of lighting and rigging technology.
