Chauvet Professional

Started as a supplier of rope lighting to the Miami area, Chauvet quickly became a lighting developer and OEM supplier to mobile DJs as well as the club market. The 1990s saw the DJ industry grow exponentially and this allowed Chauvet to relocate into large warehouse locations in Hollywood, Florida, expanding the business into a branded distribution model dedicated to penetrating markets where forward-thinking, competitive solutions were needed.
Chauvet and its robust R&D department were on the forefront of green technology when they introduced LED lighting to the mobile market in the early 00s with the Vue series, the first complete line of LED effects lights. This new technology serviced an untapped niche and piqued the interest of lighting designers worldwide. The company’s first LED wash light developed for the professional market was the COLORado 3. It was first road tested on tour with Poison and then later presented at LDI to rave reviews.
Launched by Chauvet Professional in 2010, the Ovation theatrical lighting line’s shining star was the Ovation E-190WW, a strong competitor in the retrofit market and a very popular fixture amongst houses of worship. The Ovation line represents Chauvet’s focused effort to develop groundbreaking technologies for the theatrical lighting market. Later, the Ovation E-260WW ellipsoidal became the first LED ellipsoidal that had an output surpassing a 750 Watt tungsten source.

Not long after bringing Ovation to the world, Chauvet launched the TRUSST brand, a line of presentation accessories and tough, reliable trussing for exhibits, events, and products. The lightweight, rugged trussing gear that Chauvet continues to produce adds elegance and impact to events and productions while ensuring the highest possible safety standards. Trusst offers both straight and curved sections, corners, base plates, clamps, totem kits, and more.

The Rogue Series of moving head fixtures rocked the industry’s notions of value, delivering upscale performance and features that were unheard of in LED moving head spot/beam fixtures at its price point. Chauvet’s Rogue Series expanded with RGBW colorwash moving heads, the Rogue R1 Wash and the Rogue R2 Wash. The Maverick series was the next step in Chauvet’s lighting evolution and it pushed the limits of design and technology for large scale applications to the edge. The Maverick line is most famous for the Silens series, ultra-premium fanless moving head fixtures considered to be the quietest LED moving heads ever released for theater and studio applications.

In recent years, Chauvet opened a state-of-the-art Experience Center in Las Vegas, where the company invites lighting designers and techs worldwide to be inspired and educated.
