Description

The "Classic U.S.A." Style Affordable Stratocaster Is Back!

The high quality Highway One series is Made in U.S.A. and upgraded for `06! Super-size frets that are more player friendly and easier to play, `70s styling, new alnico pickups and Satin Daphne Blue finish take this amazing guitar to the next level.

New features include hotter Alnico III pickups that offer a thick high-gain guitar sound and that are more distortion friendly than typical single-coil pickups but still sparkles when clean.

Alnico III magnets are used to round off the tonal spectrum, especially at the extreme high end that gets magnified and sometimes sounds harsh in high gain situations.

These pickups are also wound specifically to provide higher output, providing a more direct and balanced rock sound. A new "Greasebucket" circuit has also been added, which rolls back the highs without adding that muffled tone.

The Highway One’s also feature Humbucker – Singlecoil – Humbucker routing in the body for guitarists who might want to try different pickup configurations.

All models in the new Highway One Series instruments from Fender feature their signature thin satin nitrocellulose lacquer, which is a highly sought-after finish that is usually reserved for much more expensive instruments.

This finish lets the wood`s tonality shine through and project, allowing it to breathe and reverberate, will "break in" easily and enhance the overall tone of the instrument.
