It all began in the early 1980s in Korb, a small village not far from Stuttgart, Germany. The diligent duo of Jürgen Daubert and Rolf Belz started the respected audio pioneering outfit from their garage, upgrading to an old spinning mill in the nearby town of Backnang, now home to more than 500 dedicated employees. d&b’s operations have grown globally to include education, training, service, application assistance, sales, distribution, and custom solutions. Today, d&b is a renowned worldwide market leader and defines the global standard for support of professional sound reinforcement systems.
The highly respected amplifiers that are the beating heart of all d&b systems are designed specifically to power d&b loudspeakers. Sophisticated Digital Signal Processing capabilities for comprehensive loudspeaker management are incorporated into every d&b amplifier along with switchable filter functions, remote capabilities, and user-definable controls. The D6 is a dual channel amplifier that boasts a 4-band parametric equalizer along with 340 ms of signal delay per channel. d&b Audiotechnik’s D20 and D80 bring two user-definable 16-band equalizers with parametric, notch, shelving and asymmetric filters and up to 10 seconds of delay, all of which can be applied to each of the four channels. In addition to sharing these features, the 10D and 30D have been designed for installation systems, perfectly positioned to fulfill the needs of any permanent sound reinforcement requirement.

From the smallest theatres and concert venues to the largest stadiums and outdoor festival environments, the d&b Audiotechnik Line Arrays offer consistent, high performance solutions for any size of application. From the compact and flexible T-Series, Y-Series and V-Series, including their installation variants, to the large scale J-Series, the d&b line arrays share the same compelling attributes: sonic performance, carefully designed handling, and all the benefits of the d&b suite of applied software technologies.
A new sound reinforcement concept has been established by the A-Series, extending flexibility beyond its typical limitations: the augmented array. As flexible as a point source cluster, as controllable as a line array, this system introduces advanced features that alter the reality of perceived solutions to the harsh realities of challenging applications. Up to four A-Series loudspeakers can adapt precisely to venue shapes in fine increments with variable splay angles.
The d&b xS-Series offers a wide range of scalable solutions with direct radiating, varying dispersion, and output characteristics, from the very small, to the extremely large. The E-Series is functionally formed while being both robust and lightweight, performing a variety of roles, from fills to front of house, even as stage monitors.
