Another huge area of innovation in the entertainment lighting industry over the past couple of decades has been LED technology, which requires less power, produces less excess heat and offers significantly longer lamp life than traditional incandescent light sources. Again, ADJ led the way by releasing a series of fixtures utilizing the latest technology as it became available. First single-color LEDs, then color mixing LEDs, then COB (Chip On Board) homogenized LEDs, then high power white light LED engines capable of replacing discharge lamps in professional caliber moving head fixtures, and, most recently, lime-infused color mixing technology. ADJ’s current Focus Series features a complete range of moving head luminaires – including spot, wash, beam, hybrid, and profile models – which all utilize LED light engines. In addition, ADJ’s Lime Series offers a variety of static fixtures – including pars, panels, bars, and theatrical Fresnels and ellipsoidals – which all utilize the latest lime-infused LED technology to deliver unrivaled color mixing with a high CRI.

ADJ has also been an innovator of IP65-rated ‘weatherproof’ fixtures suitable for use outdoors. The Hydro Series – launched in 2018 – brought IP65-rated moving heads into the realm of affordability for small-to-medium-sized lighting companies for the first time. New fixtures have been added to the range over the last few years such that it now offers a comprehensive collection, including wash, spot, beam, hybrid, and profile fixtures suitable for a wide variety of applications.
